Analyzing

I was lost and did not know where I was.

Wandering for hours. Nothing looked familiar.

Everyone that walked by stared and looked angry, no one smiled. I was in a big city, the traffic whizzed by. It was hard to cross a street with no police officers around, no traffic lights to control these crazy people. I tried to stop a women and she brushed me aside with her hand and continued on her way, not a friendly place to visit.

The voices I heard were not English and I could not make out what language was being spoken. There were no children anywhere on the streets, school would be out. Why no children? As I kept walking, hoping to see something that I recognized, but nothing came into view.

Was I not on the earth that I knew? Where was this place? I came to a large structure and watched as men in black suits were entering and coming out. They all carried black briefcases, their faces like somber masks, no expressions at all.

Should I try to ask them what this place was? As I approached one, he looked sternly at me and asked in his broken English what I was doing out here. How did he know that I did not understand his language? Before I had a chance to ask he took my arm and pushed me inside a large room with people sitting all around, even on the floor. He told me to wait and someone would come soon.

Now I was becoming scared and asked a women beside me where we were? She told me she had woken up here a few days ago and all they had given her was attitude and nothing to eat, only water. Then I noticed it was mostly women here and they all had a vacant look to them. Their eyes looked glazed, they definitely had been drugged.

I had to get out of this place and fast. Moving slowly towards the door I started to open it, a burly man grabbed me and slammed me against the wall.

That woke me.

Why would I dream this?

Did I want to travel to places unknown?

Do I enjoy things that are different?

Do I worry about children?

Do I think black suits are scary or important?

Do I need to analyze my dreams now?

Love Lust, Sex

I dream often about love and sex, does that make me any different from any other women. I think not, maybe most just never share. Sexual encounters in dreams always end in a feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction for me.  Would I want it any other way?

I am lying daydreaming with my rose color glasses on and hear a noise outside my door. I lay back in anticipation. The doorknob turns slowly and the door opens just enough for me to see the shadow of a man starting to enter my room.

I slowly slide beneath the eiderdown, suppressing a giggle with much anticipation, I already know who this wonderful man is as he enters the darkened room. He slowly undresses, folding his cloths. He sits on the bedside, removing his socks, his body looking slender and well proportioned as he slips under the covers, adding his warmth to mine.

We are both ready for an afternoon of pleasure, he wears a smile that would melt any women’s heart. He moves closer and we begin our afternoon as lovers do.

Kisses caresses, sweet and loving conversation and pure, uninhibited sex.

The only thing that differs from years ago is there is no lighting a cigarette after our lovemaking.

I have shared my dream. Tread softly.

Real or Dreaming

I recognized my husband who had been dead for six months as he awakened me.

He sat down beside me on the bed and held my hand, I smelt his familiar scent as it was all through the air. I reached for him, kissed him, and could feel the return of his body next to mine. Love radiated through to my soul. I held him tightly and never wanted to let him go.

He caressed me gently and held my face in those hands that I was so use to holding. I pulled him towards me and slid slowly down in my bed bringing him with me. His hands moved over my body with gentleness and knowledge. He felt the same after all those years we had shared this bed, and we knew every inch of each others body. He had finally come back to take me with him.

I told him I had been waiting to travel wherever he wanted to take me. He looked very sad as I started to get up to go with him.

He then told me he had just come back to say his last good-bye before he left for good, that I had been holding on too strongly. His spirit and soul were having trouble leaving this earth.

I begged him not to leave me again, he told me he would always wait for me in eternity, but it was not my time yet. He kissed me and then he was gone.

My sobbing woke me up.

Wondering?

Have you ever wondered what dreams mean? Many books have tackled the subject and I have yet to read one that I truly believe.

My dreams consist of various images and events, some fantasy and light and some down right nightmarish. When I wake up I like to lie back and experience them again, never trying to psychoanalyze why I had any one dream in particular.

Have I told you my friend, about the one I had the other night?

I was in a huge room, with many people sitting, some lying on couches with a fire burning in the center of the room. One man kept adding logs as the embers burnt down. Some women were dressed in evening gowns, most of the men wore togas in different colors. No one seemed to care or ask what the colors meant.

A man in a black toga appeared with a tray of drinks, I assumed it was wine as it had a dark ruby tinge. He stood in front of me, his piercing eyes dancing and a huge grin showing  stained teeth. I reached for a glass asking what the name of the wine was. He flipped his long dark hair, staring deep into my eyes, moving away without an answer.

A woman leaned over to say this was an exceptional vintage and to drink it slowly to enjoy the bouquet. Her toothy smile made her look animated as she moved on, the back of her dress was slightly ripped. She did not seem to notice.

Red toga man sat down beside me and asked what I thought of the wine, he told me it was made right here and he helped with the contents. I must have given him a questioning look as he proceeded to tell me it took all the red togas to donate enough blood for this night’s fine drink.

Oh my god, I slowly put the glass on the table beside me.

Music started to play softly in the background and he asked if I was ready to dance with him. Before I could answer he pulled me up and swept me to the floor. He whispered in my ear, was I ready to accompany him upstairs? I seemed to be in the middle of an orgy and did not even realize?

From this dream, I wanted to wake.

Why did I dream about blood wine, men in togas, and an orgy?

But I don't ask those questions do I?

A Dream

I believe every dream has a meaning and we can learn from each one if we choose to try.

I was walking the trails in the park near home, a slight rain had started, and the surrounding trees protected me from the light drizzle. The air was fresh and I could smell the scent from the mixture of greenery.

I heard a slight moan ahead and thought maybe I was coming upon a couple making love. I veered to a path on my right, as the moan grew louder. Instantly, I knew it was someone crying for help. Then voices, one was a man’s, the other a women sobbing.

Was she being molested and needed help?
Quietly and slowly I retraced my steps towards the sound.

A small man with a knife bent over this woman was cutting away her blouse. He had her hands tied above her head. She whimpered, pleading for him to stop. The knife was at her throat as he started to move down her body tantalizing this poor women stopping at her chest. Blood seeped from her blouse.

I looked around for something I could hit him with and found a tree branch. As I reached for it, I tripped falling backwards. He heard me and came rushing at me with his knife using slashing motions. Hatred on his face. I rolled to my side and as he neared, I lashed out with the branch hitting him on his face, he fell backward and I kept hitting him until he lay still.

I ran to the women, untying her as I spoke softly that she was going to be all right. Her brown eyes flashed wide with fear as she started to get up. She stumbled, I held her as she sat and began to shake. I took off my jacket covering her up and put my scarf over her wound to try to stop the bleeding.

The man started to stir so I went back smacking him hard, he was going to have a headache tomorrow.

I called the police, told them where we were and to bring an ambulance. If he stirred again he was going to need one.

She had met this man on the internet. Said he seemed nice when he came to meet her. Then suggested they have a quiet walk in the park.

I woke as my alarm rang.
